For this Off Grid Project, I created a flower illustration using handwritten typography. My goal was to combine words and drawing to create something creative and meaningful. I used different colours, lettering styles, and directions to form the petals and give the flower more texture and movement. I used green stem and leaves to connect the illustrations t nature. The word “Flower” reinforces the main subject, while the overall composition shows how typography can become part of an illustration rather than just being used for writing. Through this project, I explored how letters, colours, and shapes can work together to create a unique visual design.For this On Grid, I transformed the Off Grid Flower to a Building to make it On Grid, I created a Building using the same words. I used repeated lettering to form the walls and foundation, while the vertical and horizontal arrangements helped create the structure of the building. I also combined different colours, including purple, pink, blue, green, and yellow, to add contrast with the flowing script.
